Salmon Sashimi

Salmon sashimi is a simple Japanese dish made up of delicious slices of raw salmon served with a dipping sauce such as soy sauce. If it's your first time trying sashimi, salmon is a great option due to its silky melt-in-mouth texture and fresh flavour.

Tuna Sashimi

Tuna (Maguro) is considered a valuable fish used for sushi and sashimi by many Japanese chefs. There is not just one but many tuna varieties. Each comes with a different taste and texture based on the makeup of its parts: lean meat (akami), medium fatty belly (chutoro), and fatty belly (otoro).


Gyoza are dumplings filled with ground meat and vegetables and wrapped in a thin dough. Also known as pot stickers, gyoza originated in China (where they are called jiaozi), but have become a very popular dish in Japan.

Chicken Karaage

For chicken karaage, it's essentially bite-size pieces of chicken thigh dusted with flour and deep-fried in hot oil. With tender and juicy marinated chicken coated in a crispy shell, karaage is a staple in Japanese home-cooked meals.

Spring Roll

Harumaki is a crispy Japanese Spring Roll wrapped with a delicious filling of pork, chicken, shrimp, shiitake mushroom, carrots, and vermicelli. They make excellent finger food or appetizers.

Fried Calamari

The meat is firm and white with a mild, slightly sweet, almost nutty flavor. Small fried squid are often firm and chewy, but they should not be rubbery. Fried calamari usually gets served with a garlicky aioli or a marinara sauce for dipping, and in any preparation, squid readily takes on the flavor of the dish.

Prawn Tempura

Ebi Tempura, prawn or shrimp tempura, is a crispy and delicious Japanese dish. It features juicy shrimp dipped in a light tempura batter and fried until crispy and golden. It is surprisingly easy to make and makes a great side or appetizer for any Japanese meal.

Salmon Tempura

Deep-frying salmon makes it soft and gives it a denser taste. This dish is light and very delicious. Crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside.

Yam Tempura

This ancient dish is most commonly made with seafood or vegetables coated in a light and crispy deep fried batter. The batter is made with a simple mixture of flour, eggs and water.



Nigirizushi or Nigiri sushi is of the most traditional form of sushi you’ll see. This type of sushi consists of a single topping (of your choosing) placed over palm-pressed sushi rice. Mostly in oblong form.


Makizushi or Maki sushi is a type of sushi that has uses fillings and wraps them in sushi rice filled seaweed. Most of the time you will see Maki rolled together in a long cylinder form.

Spicy Tuna Roll

A spicy tuna roll is a makizushi roll that usually contains raw tuna, and spicy mayo or sriracha. The roll is often seasoned with Ichimi togarashi.

Rainbow Roll

Rainbow roll is a type of uramaki sushi roll filled with cucumber, avocado and crab stick. It is prepared with multiple types of fish, most commonly tuna, salmon, white fish, yellowtail, snapper, and eel. Rainbow roll is quite similar to the California roll, with the addition of tuna, salmon and avocado.

Philadelphia Roll

A Philadelphia roll is a makizushi type of sushi generally made with smoked salmon, cream cheese, and cucumber, with the rice on the outside. It is commonly made with imitation crab instead of salmon, but can be found to include other ingredients, such as other types of fish, avocado, scallions, and sesame seed.

Dragon Roll

The Dragon Roll, a personal favorite of ours. This captivating roll typically features a core of creamy avocado and tender eel or cucumber, enveloped by sushi rice and nori (seaweed). The roll is then topped with thinly sliced avocado, resembling the scales of a dragon, and drizzled with a rich unagi sauce.

Shrimp Tempura Roll

The shrimp tempura roll is a classic sushi roll that features fried shrimp, avocado, and cucumber. What can I say about it? Fans of fried shrimp will obviously find this their number one sushi. And let’s face it: it’s a welcome change of texture and just another flavor than fresh fish. I also always order one sushi roll with tempura shrimp. Delicious!

Spider Roll

A spider roll is a type of makizushi sushi that includes breaded or battered soft-shell crab and other ingredients such as cucumber, avocado, daikon sprouts or lettuce, and spicy mayonnaise, rolled inside nori and sushi rice.

Inari Sushi

Inari is breaded-rice sushi. The bread is thin and sweet and sometimes filled with vegetables such as carrot strips or cucumber. Our delicious Inari Sushi roll offers both sweet and savory and can be served as a snack or as a side dish.

Spicy Salmon Roll

Spicy salmon rolls are a type of maki (rolled sushi) made with
spicy salmon, sticky rice and nori (seaweed). Traditionally, raw sashimi-grade salmon is mixed with a spicy mayo for the filling.

Boston Roll

The Boston roll is prepared with cooked shrimp, avocado, cucumber, mayonnaise, sushi rice, nori seaweed and tobiko fish roe. The Boston roll is a brightly colored fancy sushi roll. Our homemade version uses tobiko fish roe as a topping and as a filling cooked shrimp, avocado, and cucumber.

Alaska Roll

The Alaska roll roll contains creamy imitation crab tossed in Kewpie mayo, cucumber, and avocado rolled in seasoned sushi rice, nori, and topped with raw salmon and ikura.

Cucumber Roll

The Cucumber roll has three ingredients: nori (dried seaweed), sushi rice, and cucumber. As there is no fish included, this roll is also perfect for vegetarians and vegans. (It also happens to be a roll that children in Japan enjoy).

Dynamite Roll

A mouthwatering medley of salmon, crab, avocado, and cucumber, wrapped in sushi rice and seaweed with smelt egg, tempura bits, and spicy mayo. One order comes with eight pieces.


Temaki Sushi is sometimes called a “hand roll” because it is made of a rolled cone of seaweed, wrapped around rice and fillings. The best part, for me as a cook, is that this is a meal where everyone helps themselves.

Caterpiller Roll

Caterpillar rolls are a type of non-traditional sushi roll made by rolling unagi and cucumber in nori and sushi rice and then topping the roll with sliced avocado. The avocado creates a striped pattern on top that resembles a caterpillar, where the roll gets its name.


The meaning of its name is, literally, “inside out” roll. It could be defined as a “rebel roll” because it goes against the usual norm of wrapping the roll of rice from the outside. Instead, the roll contents are wrapped with nori, and then rice is rolled around it.

Volcano Roll

A Volcano Roll is sushi that is made with either shrimp, imitation crab, or spicy tuna. It's usually also filled with cucumber and wrapped with sushi rice and nori seaweed. Unlike cold sushi, this roll is topped with creamy crab or bay scallops, and baked.

Firecracker Roll

A firecracker sushi roll is a type of sushi roll that is typically made with salmon fish. The fish is sliced into 1cm slices and then halved lengthwise. The fish is then placed on top of a sheet of nori that has been covered with rice. The roll is then wrapped up and cut into pieces.

BC Roll

The B.C. roll is a Maki-zushi, a kind of sushi containing barbecued salmon and cucumber. It is prepared as an uramaki roll, a style of sushi in which the rice is on the outside. Often the roll contains barbecued salmon skin coated in a sweet sauce.

Crunchy California Roll

This California roll features imitation crab tossed in spicy mayo, cucumber, and avocado rolled in seasoned sushi rice and nori, with a crispy golden panko crust.

The Chicken katsu roll is a fantastic example of how you can blend two traditional Japanese dishes into one. This roll is also great for new-comers who may be uncertain about consuming raw fish!

Unagi Roll

Unagi Sushi (Eel Hand Roll) is a popular sushi roll featuring
Japanese eel cooked in a rich umami sauce, then rolled in seasoned sushi rice and nori.

Kappa Maki

The Kappa cucumber roll is a thin roll of simple sushi (maki) with a single cucumber slice at the centre. This roll is most popular among children in Japan who aren't used to the more exotic variations of sushi.


Chicken Teriyaki

A dish of grilled slices chicken that has been marinated in soy sauce seasoned with sake, ginger, and sugar. Garlic and fresh ginger are sometimes added to the mixture. In Japanese cooking, the teriyaki sauce is frequently used as a marinade as well as a basting sauce.

Beef Teriyaki

Beef teriyaki is thinly sliced beef (or sometimes whole steaks) with a teriyaki sauce made from soy sauce, sake, mirin, and a bit of sugar. Teriyaki beef is glossy and shiny, which is why it's called teriyaki, with teri meaning glazed and yaki meaning grilled/cooked.


Okonomiyaki is a Japanese teppanyaki, savoury pancake dish consisting of wheat flour batter and other ingredients cooked on a teppan. May include cabbage, meat, and seafood. YToppings include okonomiyaki sauce, aonori, katsuobushi, Japanese mayonnaise, and pickled ginger.

Ramen Noodle

Simply put, ramen is a Japanese noodle soup, with a combination of a rich flavoured broth, one of a variety of types of noodle and a selection of meats or vegetables, often topped with a boiled egg.


Yakisoba is a classic Japanese stir-fried noodle dish that's seasoned with a sweet and savory sauce similar to Worcestershire sauce. We use any meat you like—pork, chicken, shrimp, or calamari. For vegetarians, just swap it with tofu or shiitake mushrooms.


Udon is a thick noodle made from wheat flour, used in Japanese cuisine. There is a variety of ways it is prepared and served. Its simplest form is in a hot soup as kake udon with a mild broth called kakejiru made from dashi, soy sauce, and mirin. It is usually topped with thinly chopped scallions.
